- Give resources and help for parents to provide the safest home for their children
- Jordan's Principle application help and support
- Help with court requirements
- Help to maintain the family unit
- Advocate for families
- Attend all meetings for support
- Provide the least disruptive measures for children and their families (parents and/or caregivers)

Kassidy Gervais
Family Preservation Worker
Kassidy is Métis and First Nations woman, she was born and raised in Prince George BC however her roots are in Western Saskatchewan. She has two wonderful daughters who keep her busy.

Support Services:
- Liasing with MCFD and attend court to support families and children who are in care.
- ·Supporting families leaving a domestic violence situation.
- ·Liasing with MCFD to support and assist youth in care in their transition to adulthood.
- Advocating with MCFD on behalf of families whose children are in care.
- Developing cultural support plans so that children in care, living away from community, will grow up knowing their Simpcw culture and traditions.
- ·Reuniting members with extended family.
- Supervising visitations.
- Home visits with a Simpcw Family Preservation Worker to discuss any support needs or issues
- Referrals to appropriate Simpcw department, community, governmental and ministry contracted services.
