Are you interested in helping represent the voices and perspectives of Simpcw members?
Simpcw is seeking members to serve on the Process Committee for the Trans Mountain Mainline Optimization Project (MOP) as part of the Simpcw Assessment Process.
Committee members will work alongside the Natural Resource Department and the Environmental Assessment Lead to help ensure community interests, concerns, and perspectives are meaningfully considered throughout the assessment process. Responsibilities include participating in community engagement, reviewing project documents, attending stakeholder meetings, supporting the integration of Indigenous Knowledge, and providing advice to Council.
Committee Commitment:
• 1–2 meetings per month
• Approximately a 1–2 year commitment
• Additional time outside of meetings for document review, preparation, and community engagement may be required.
Who can apply?
Any Simpcw member is welcome to apply. We are looking for a diverse committee that reflects the experiences and perspectives of our membership.
