Community members are advised that fuel mitigation operations related to the Chu Chua Fuel Mitigation Project are now underway in collaboration with Tolko and Simpcw.
Residents can expect increased industrial traffic, harvesting, road building activity, and logging truck traffic in the area during weekday work hours.
Hauling activity is expected along Dunn Lake Road, with approximately 4–6 logging truck loads per day.
Please use caution while traveling in the area and follow any traffic control personnel or signage in active work zones.
This project is focused on reducing wildfire risk around the community.
