NOTICE:
As part of the Newhykulston project there will be dewatering required to ensure a dry work area within the excavation.
The dewatering will need to be operated 24 hours/day during the installation of the casing and water works and, depending on the water during the excavations, it could be for the duration of the work which is planned for September 4th through to the 9th.
It was identified that there was no water present during the geotechnical drilling investigations previously, which indicates minimal encountering with water which would result in less pumping required.
The contractor is making efforts to minimize noise and disruptions by using electric pumps run off the public works building power supply.
